Meta Muse Will Soon Let Users Share Live AI Avatars
Meta will soon allow users on its Muse platform to share custom live avatars with others. The feature aims to turn personalised digital personas into shareable assets across the company's interactive AI assistant ecosystem.
Turning custom digital personas into shareable assistants
Meta is preparing a new capability for its Muse platform that enables direct sharing of live avatars between users, according to feature testing uncovered by TestingCatalog. The system currently allows creators to generate responsive, animated faces paired with conversational agents, but those setups have largely remained locked to the individual accounts that built them.
Allowing users to distribute Meta Muse live avatars transforms custom digital likenesses from isolated experiments into collaborative tools. As platforms like Google AI Studio add managed hubs for autonomous workflows, Meta is leaning into consumer-facing presentation, ensuring interactive agents have recognizable faces that communities can remix and share.
Giving AI agents a recognizable face matters if Meta wants everyday users to care about custom assistants. Letting people trade and adopt community-made avatars lowers the barrier to entry, though Meta will inevitably have to police likeness rights and inappropriate designs once sharing goes public.
Availability and rollout
Meta has not published a formal launch date or pricing tier for avatar sharing on Muse. The capability is currently in development and expected to roll out in an upcoming platform update for existing Muse testers before reaching wider global availability.
