Xgimi Horizon 30: 4K 120Hz Projectors From $1,899

Xgimi has unveiled the Horizon 30 series, three triple-laser 4K projectors that run at up to 120Hz with VRR and ALLM for gaming. Prices start at $1,899 during a launch window that ends October 31, after which every model gets $600 more expensive.

Three projectors, one very bright family

Xgimi's Horizon 30 lineup is built around an RGB triple-laser light source with a dual intelligent iris that adjusts the light scene by scene. All three models output 4K at up to 120Hz, support Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and run Google TV on board.

The differences are brightness and contrast. The Horizon 30 Pro starts at 4,800 ISO lumens with 8,000:1 native contrast, the Max steps to 5,300 lumens and 9,000:1, and the Ultra Max tops out at 10,000 lumens and 10,000:1. Xgimi says that is up to seven times the native contrast of the previous generation, which matters more than the lumen count once the lights go down.

Every model includes dual 12W Harman Kardon speakers with DTS Virtual:X, an integrated tilting and rotating stand, optical zoom, lens shift, and a Lens Memory feature that stores five setups so you can jump between a TV-shaped image and an ultra-wide gaming canvas without re-aiming the projector.

The gaming specs are the real pitch

Xgimi is quoting 1ms latency at 1080p/240Hz and 3ms at 4K/60Hz in game mode, alongside variable refresh rate with AMD FreeSync and auto low latency mode. Those are the numbers that decide whether a projector feels like a display or a compromise, and they put the Horizon 30 series in the same conversation as gaming-focused TVs rather than the business projectors that used to define this price bracket.

The catch is that 120Hz projection is only useful if your source can feed it. You will need a current-generation console or a PC willing to output 4K at high frame rates, and ambient light still eats contrast on any projector. Xgimi's answer is brute brightness: 10,000 ISO lumens on the Ultra Max is a lot of light for a home unit, and it is the main reason the top model costs what it does.

For comparison, our review of the Hisense U7 found a 165Hz Mini-LED TV for $999, and the Apple TV 4K 2026 is a $299 streaming box. Neither gives you a 120-inch image, which is the trade you are making here.

ModelBrightness / contrastLaunch price (until Oct 31)Price from Nov 1
Horizon 30 Pro4,800 ISO lumens, 8,000:1$1,899$2,499
Horizon 30 Max5,300 ISO lumens, 9,000:1$2,499$2,999
Horizon 30 Ultra Max10,000 ISO lumens, 10,000:1$2,999$3,499

TechCortex take: the Ultra Max's 10,000 lumens is the headline, but the Pro at $1,899 is the model most people will actually buy, and it is the one whose price jumps the most in percentage terms. If you have been waiting for a projector that does not embarrass itself with a game console attached, this is the closest the category has come to a no-excuses option. Just do not wait until November to decide.

Pricing, availability and the deadline that matters

The launch prices run from October 12 through October 31, 2026, exclusively at xgimi.com. Open sales begin November 1, and on that date the prices rise to $2,499, $2,999 and $3,499 respectively. In other words, the $600 saving on each model is a two-and-a-half-week window, not the real price.

Xgimi has not announced UK or EU pricing or release dates, so the pound and euro figures floating around are conversions of the US launch prices, not official local pricing. Anyone in Europe waiting for a proper regional price will have to wait a little longer.

What it means for you

If you are in the US, the Horizon 30 series is available now at xgimi.com at the launch prices above, and those prices expire on October 31, 2026. From November 1, the same three projectors cost $600 more each, so the decision window is short if the Pro at $1,899 is the one you want.

For UK and EU buyers, Xgimi has not confirmed local pricing or a release date. The sterling and euro numbers circulating are straight conversions of the US launch prices and exclude local taxes and import duties, so treat them as a rough guide only until Xgimi announces official regional pricing.

The Horizon 30 series is a straightforward bet: brighter, faster and more gaming-friendly than what came before, with a launch discount designed to create urgency. Whether the Ultra Max's 10,000 lumens justify $3,499 after November 1 is the question buyers will have to answer for themselves.
